    Abstract: Rabbi Samuel Adelman (1916-1966) was the leader of Beth Ha Medrosh Hagodol (BMH) Synagogue from 1957 until his death in 1966. He was also the president of the Religious Council on Human Relations for Metropolitan Denver and the Denver Housing Board, and was well-known for his talks on Russian Jews. Adelman was buried at Mount Nebo Cemetary, and an estimated 1,400 people attended memorial services at BMH.

    Abstract: Dankmar Adler was a Jewish architect who worked during the 1880s in the Chicago architectural firm Adler & Sullivan; however, little is known about him. Adler partnered with Louis Sullivan on Pueblo, Colorado's, Grand Opera House, which burned down during the winter of 1922.

    Abstract: Joe Alpert (1918-1977) was born in Boulder, CO, and was a prominent leader, businessman, and philanthropist in the Denver Jewish community. He founded the General Rose Memorial Hospital in 1945, serving as president from 1951-1956. He dedicated the Joe and Betty Alpert Arthritis Treatment Center at Rose in 1975. Alpert also was a co-founder of Guaranty Bank in 1955.

    Abstract: Aubrey Ambrose (1909-1996) was the owner of the Army Surplus Store in Pueblo, Colorado (his father founded the store in 1919). Following the death of his long-term business partner Roy Brown, Ambrose went into semi-retirement and sold the store to Edward Cervantes.

    Abstract: The Barenbloom family immigrated to the United States from Russia around the turn of the 20th century and settled in New York. Avram Shloime Barenbloom was one of these settlers, and six of his children moved to Denver, Colorado. Chava Barenbloom and her husband established the Star Bakery in Denver. The Barenbloom Family Reunion was held in Denver, Colorado, on June 26-27, 1982.
