This folder contains correspondence dating from the formation of the Universal Round Dance Council at the first National Convention. Significant focus on deciding the purpose of the organization and on announcing its existence. Includes draft organizational structure chart, as well as early financial and membership information, and the first mention of drafting articles of incorporation.

Correspondence in this file focuses on the formation of bylaws and articles of incorporation for the Universal Round Dance Council. Includes draft copies of the bylaws and edits, and documents relating to the planning of the second National Round Dance Convention. Significant contributors are Frank and Iris Gilbert and Roy and Phyllis Stier.

This folder contains a minidisk recording and the cue sheets for an associated, pre-choreographed dance. The minidisk contains an MP3 file of “Oh, How I Miss You Tonight” performed by Jim Reeves and Deborah Allen. The cue sheet is for the “I Miss You Waltz,” choreographed in 2002 in memory of cancer victims Marilyn McAdams, Deann Voss, and Mickey Moore. Mickey Moor was co-president of the Universal Round Dance Council at the time of her death in August of 2001.

The International Choreographed Ballroom Dance Association was started as the National Round Dance Board of Review in 1976-1977, became the Universal Round Dance Council in 1977, and changed to its current name in late 2007. The collection primarily consists of official newsletters and convention syllabi from 1979-2012, plus organizing correspondence from 1976-1979, official convention recordings from 2004-2005, and some ephemera.

This series consists of a single minidisk and an accompanying cue sheet. The minidisk contains an MP3 file of the song “Oh, How I Miss You Tonight” performed by Jim Reeves and Deborah Allen. The cue sheet is for a dance choreographed to this music and titled the “I Miss You Waltz,” choreographed in 2002 in memory of cancer victims Marilyn McAdams, Deann Voss, and Mickey Moore (co-president of URDC who passed away in 2001).
