Biographical / Historical

Mary McGlone was born Mary Hunter in 1907 in Mount Vernon, OH. She moved with her family to Brighton, CO and graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1928. While at college, she met her husband William McGlone, and they married in 1932. He was a prominent public figure in Denver until his death in 1984. Mary McGlone was a co-founder of the Central City Opera House Association Guild and was a constant fixture of Denver high society for many years.
