Abstract The Guaranty Bank and Trust Company was founded in June 1955 by a group of Jewish businessmen to create access for Jewish businesses to get loans. Anti-Semitism made it difficult for Jews to get loans from other banks. Walter A. Woods, Herbert Horwich, and Ira L. Quiat signed the original Articles of Incorporation. Abstract Linas Hazedek was established as an Orthodox Jewish non-profit benevolent organization. The constitution for the organization dates to September 1921, although the organization was not incorporated by the State of Colorado until 1955. The organization provided visits to sick members and performed services and last rites for deceased members. All donations to the organization were to be used for the funeral expenses of the members. Collection contains the charter for the Order Sons of Zion Denver Chapter Subordinate Camp No. 32 established on March 10, 1911. The Order Sons of Zion was a Jewish Fraternal Organization based in New York City. The charter is a print done in back ink and blue. Image of an Angel over crowded streets and buildings pointing over an ocean toward Jerusalem and the Citadel of David, with a village and farmers below.
