Biography
B'nai B'rith is the oldest and largest of the national Jewish service organizations in the United States. The Charter for the Denver Chapter states that the (Independent Order of B’nai B’rith Charter for a Lodge to be known by the name, style and title of Denver Lodge No. 171 to hold its sessions in the city of Denver, Col. seventh day of April, 1872 (5632)). Through a national effort, the organization raised enough money to open National Jewish Hospital for Consumptives in 1899.

Contains correspondence between the Industrial Removal Office in New York and the B'nai B'rith Removal Committee in Denver. Milton M. Schayer was chairman of the committee from 1907 to 1914 when the IRO Committee was disbanded.
