Independent Order of B'nai B'rith. Denver Lodge No. 171 (Denver, Colo.)
B'nai B'rith is the oldest and largest of the national Jewish service organizations in the United States. The Charter for the Denver Chapter states that the (Independent Order of B’nai B’rith Charter for a Lodge to be known by the name, style and title of Denver Lodge No. 171 to hold its sessions in the city of Denver, Col. seventh day of April, 1872 (5632)). Through a national effort, the organization raised enough money to open National Jewish Hospital for Consumptives in 1899.

Overview Framed gold star certificate for Ben Hoffman given by the B'nai B'rith Denver Lodge, Number One after the death of Ben Hoffman in World War II. Max Goldberg as President of the Denver Lodge signed the certificate. The certificate contains a passage from the Gettysburg address.
