Advertisement for the Grand Opening of the Jewish Theatre, 1923 September
Advertisement for the grand opening of the Yiddish theater at the Palm Theatre, 3116 W. Colfax Avenue in Denver, Colorado that appeared in the Denver Jewish News. The opening night performance was The Price of Love on September 12, 1923. The Jewish Theatre was established by the Jewish Theatrical Company, organized by the Josephson family. The Jewish Theatrical Company operated from 1922 to 1926.

Hattie Schayer Friedenthal, 1922, 1998
Hattie Schayer Friedenthal (1868-1922) was born in New York City and moved to Denver with her parents when she was four years old. Hattie graduated from East Denver High School in 1884, and married Sigmund Friedenthal in 1891. She was deeply involved in the Denver Jewish community, acting as organizer and first vice-president of the Jewish Sheltering Home, Editor of the Denver Jewish News, and president of the Hebrew Benevolent Society. Hattie was buried at Fairmount Cemetary.
