University of Denver. 1901 E. Iliff Ave, Denver, Colorado 80208. Date Built: 1957 for $1.7 million. Opened in 1958. Major Renovation: 2007. Gross square feet: 100,071. Freshman three-story residence hall located on the south side of campus. Common name in 2010: J-Mac. Named for two popular faculty members from an earlier era: Granville Johnson and Ida McFarlane. Brick building with large windows and distinctive "saw-tooth" roof.
