The first reference to Colorado Seminary was in The Rocky Mountain News of November 27, 1862: “ a board of Trustees, composed of the solid men of Denver, has been organized to superintend the erection of a seminary building… for an academic education.”

Overview Collection contains 1 framed degree for John Hipp dated July 14, 1884 from the Univeristy of Denver. Hipp was the first student to graduate with a degree from the Unievrsity of Denver. The degree is mostly in Latin and has the seal of the Univeristy in the right hand corner.

Marcy M. Marconi Papers

Overview

Marcy M. Marconi was a History Major at the University of Denver in 1989 when she contacted numerous women who had graduated from DU during the 1920s and asked them to fill out a questionnaire about being a female student at DU during that time. This small collection consists of 35 quesionnaires filled out by the alumnae.
