A. D. H. Kaplan Papers
Born in New York City in 1893, Abraham David Hannath Kaplan received his BS degree from New York University, his MA from the University of Denver, and his PhD from Johns Hopkins University. He was chair of the Department of Economics at DU from 1929 to 1944 and then was a senior staff member at the Brookings Institute in Washington, DC. He also published several books on economics. Kaplan died in 1974.

Collection contains the records of The Department of Economics as a division within the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Denver. Though the Economics department at DU was established in 1922, the archival collection contains correspondence, news clippings, and annual reports from 1977-1989.
