Abstract A five-piece aluminum World War I ''doughboy'' mess kit used as a Boy Scout mess kit. The kit is multi-purpose and includes silverware. The top and bottom of kit are used for cooking and serving. The spoon and fork are stamped with ''U.S.'', the knife is stamped with ''R.I.A. U.S. 1917'', and the handle of the pan is stamped with ''U.S. 1918''. Originally belonged to Ira M. Beck.
