Abstract Exterior view of the Geriatric Center at Beth Israel Hospital in Denver, Colorado at the corner of Sixteenth Avenue and Lowell Boulevard. Beth Israel opened in Denver's west-side community in 1920 as a Jewish old-age home. It added a Jewish-run general hospital in 1923. Sparked by Bella Mintz, it garnered the support of members of Denver's Jewish community from throughout the city. Philanthropists Leopold Guldman, Isadore Rude, and Adolph Kiesler provided especially generous donations....
