Information found: The Colorado magazine, Dec. 1927 (a.e.) t.p. (The State Historical and Natural History Society of Colorado); Feb. 1928: t.p. (The State Historical Society of Colorado). From late 1970s publications use both "State Historical Society" and "Colorado Historical Society," latter form in prominent position; considered change of name for cataloging purposes.

Abstract Ernest Morris was born in Thorn, Germany and came to the United States as a child. He graduated from the University of Colorado with degrees in philosophy and law. He was a board member of the Colorado Historical Association for two decades and was president from 1932 through 1936. His unpublished manuscript "Gathering Much" covers his early life and legal career.
