The current title, adopted in 1995, more accurately reflects the full scope of activities in the entertainment industry. For generations, the Union retained the historical spelling of the word "employes," calling itself the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employes. Brass card for Honorary Membership for Arthur M. Oberfelder to the I.A.T.S.E. (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) of Local #7 in Denver, Colorado. He was not an member, but was issued an honorary membership. The Union, begun in 1893, has gone through a number of name changes. The card is in a black leather card case.
