Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry, 1968-1978
The Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry was launched at Columbia University in 1964 to enlist students to advocate for Soviet Jews. The students led large protest marches, pushed for legislation to aid Soviet Jews and created educational materials. The Union of Councils for Soviet Jewry was the "adult" counterpart to the Student Struggle for Soviet Jews.

Washington Committee for Soviet Jewry: Memos to members, Publications "The Vigil" newsletter," "The White Book of Exodus." "The White Book of Exodus" was issued byJewsh activists in the Soviet Union, accompanied by personal letters and appeals. It was smuggled out to the West and published by the American Jewish Conference on Soviet Jewry in 1972.
