The first tape in a nine tape series covering a class taught by Pat Donegan. The class addresses Asian poetry and the principles and background that influence it. She reads from various authors as examples as well as asking the class to write and share their own work.

The second tape in a nine tape series of a class by Pat Donegan on the Imagists and East Asian poets. The class involves Pat Donegan giving background on Asian poetry and their relation to the Imagists as well as actual writing and readings of work by students using models and concepts discussed.

The third tape in a nine tape series of a class by Pat Donegan on the Imagists and East Asian poets. In this class Donegan focuses on Chinese poetry. She quotes Ezra Pound on Japanese and Chinese poetry. Donegan and students read and discuss the work of Wang Wei, Tu Fu, Li Po, and others.

The fourth tape in a nine tape series of a class by Pat Donegan on the Imagists and East Asian poets. Donegan and students read a number of pieces by various Chinese and Japanese poets. Donegan finishes her discussion of Chinese poets, started in earlier classes, with the work of Yang Wan Li, Han Shan, and Li Ching Chow. She then moves on to Japanese poetry, discussing the court poet Lady Murasaki and a number of others.

Students read from their assignments.

The seventh tape in a nine tape series of a class by Pat Donegan on the Imagists and East Asian poets. Subjects include background on the Imagist movement as well as on Asian art and culture. Work by various artists as well as that of the students is read and discussed.

The last tape in a nine tape series of a class by Pat Donegan on the Imagists and East Asian poets. Subject matter includes background on and work by William Carlos Williams as well as student readings of their own work.

Reed Bye presents a class in the series Rotating Shakespeare on the play Hamlet. Bye describes the history of criticism on Hamlet and the origins of the Hamlet story, then presents a cosmological interpretation of Hamlet. The class then reads through the play, interspersing the reading with discussion of individual scenes.

Reed Bye presents a class on Shakespeare's "Hamlet." In this class, Bye and the students continue their reading of "Hamlet," debating the timing of the seduction of Gertrude and focusing on the appearance of the ghost of the king.
