Abstract Frank Yaklich was President of CF&I Steel Corporation. Born in Pueblo, Frank attended the University of Colorado majoring in Engineering. In 1960, he worked 2 years for Inland. Came to the CF & I as an industrial engineer then assigned to maintenance in the 25" Mill from 1962-1964. From 1964-1967 he worked at the Seamless Tube Mill, from 1967-1968, he was a design engineeer. Abstract Cooper tells about her father coming to Arizona in 1908 where he homesteaded in the area of Guadalupe and Greenfield roads in Gilbert. She describes everyday life ? hauling water, preserving and storing food, farming, riding horses, and getting around on dirt roads. She talks about marrying Delbert Mortensen who worked as an electrician and then eventually farmed her parents' homestead. Abstract

Grandson of Edward Bruce Bowles. Mother was Maria Bowles Van Scoy Glen was a member of the Home Rule Charter Convention in 1957. In 1946 Glen VanScoy was named postmaster of Westminster. He & wife were the only employees at that time; with a population of 700 they managed the office and they met the train twice a day to deliver & pickup mail. Talks of the postoffice moving, more clerks, house to house delivery began, raising the postoffice to second class then first class.

Horne who was the Dean of Westminster University prior to that time. Previously lived at approximately 88th & Irving Street. Ed worked at the Begole Orchards.
