Abe Kauvar for Colorado Reflections
Dr. Abe Kauvar, Manager of the Denver Department of Health and Hospitals and a graduate of the University of Denver, recalls growing up in the Jewish community of Denver. Kauvar recalls family trips to a cabin in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, his school days at East High School, and his work at Denver General Hospital as well as the hospital's growth.

Father was known as a machine man in the gold mines, using a jackhammer to drill holes for dynamite to blast. Moehrke discussed the impact of World War I on mining towns. Moehrke discusses the Cripple Creek fire department, mining history of the town, the flu epidemic of 1918, and the Tramway strike in Denver in 1920.

Reflects on a play he wrote with a student, "The Red Wheelbarrow," and how it led to the creation of what Bowles calls senior theater after a performance at a senior citizen community center. Reflects on his process which includes collecting stories and transforming them into performances.
Byron L. Akers for Colorado Reflections
Byron Akers, the owner of the Colorado Car Museum and the Ghost Town in Colorado Springs, reflects on his long time obsession with automobiles. Akers was born in Denver and moved to Colorado Springs and reflects on the introduction of the car. Recalls the transition from horse and buggy carriages to automobiles, the first automobile trip up Pikes Peak, and the cars he owns, including the steamer Locomobile.
Caroline Bancroft for Colorado Reflections
Caroline Bancroft, author and journalist, describes her education at the Denver Public Schools and Smith College. Discusses her journey to becoming a literary editor for the Denver Post and the struggles she encountered along the way. Bancroft reflects on her path to becoming a Colorado historian through classes offered at the University of Denver and her work as an author.
