Herring reflects on her time working at Golden Eagle Dry Goods Company before attending a comptometer course and obtaining a job at Macklem Baking Company, working her way up to the board. Herring discusses the impact of World War II on businesses and her experience at Altrusa Club, a women's service club formed during World War I.
