Alpha Gamma Delta (Epsilon Gamma Chapter) Records
This collection contains the records of the Epsilon Gamma Chapter of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority at the University of Denver, founded in 1928 and lasting on campus until 2008. This collection is comprised largely of 13 individual scrapbooks donated by sorority members, as well as several boxes of foldered records.
Box 1: Scrapbook and Records, 1936-1985
Box 1 contains a scrapbook of unknown origins documenting the Epsilon Gamma chapter from 1936-1939. The scrapbook contains press clippings, copies of the chapter newsletter (Epsigams) and memorabilia including event invitations, programs, dance cards, place settings and more. Box 1 also contains 1939 blueprints from the Alpha Gamma Delta house that would be built in 1942 and three large Alpha Gamma Delta group portraits from 1935, 1942 and 1984-85.
Box 6: Dance Cards and Memorabilia, 1939-1960
Box 6 contains Alpha Gamma Delta dance cards and assorted small event memorabilia. Many were donated by Katherine E. Booth, originating member of the Epsilon Gamma chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta, from 1939-1942. The rest of the materials from Booth's donation are in Box 4.
Box 7: Unbound Scrapbooks & Records, 1927-1985
Box 7 contains Alpha Gamma Delta records and loose/unbound scrapbooks. In this series, scrapbooks contain member photos and memorabilia items including event invitations, christmas cards and more. Box also contains folders for photos, including many group portraits, and memory books documenting chapter activities and membership for the academic year.
Box 8: Alpha Gamma Delta Records, 1932-1989
Box 8 contains Alpha Gamma Delta records in chronological folders. In this series, box includes photos and memorabilia items including event invitations, programs, dance cards, camp postcards (1943), and more.
