Sears Family Papers
This collection contains the papers of Vera Sears (1912-2008), dance instructor at the University of Denver, and her husband Edwin Sears (1903-1964), a law professor at the University of Denver. The Sears family emigrated to the United States from Germany in the 1930s. These papers include correspondence, photographs, teaching materials, legal materials, clippings, dance notation notebooks, publications, scrapbooks, and audiovisual materials.
"Sets in Order" and "Square Dancing"
Edited by Bob Osgood (1918-2003), "Sets in Order : the California magazine of square and round dancing" was published from 1948-1969. It was continued by "Square Dancing," from 1970-1985. The magazines covered modern Western square and round dance news, education and festivals, at first on the West Coast, later nationwide. The collection contains issues Vol. 1, no. 1 (Nov. 1948)- v. 37, no. 12 (Dec. 1985).
