Abstract

Molly Newman discusses her experience in the theater world in Colorado. Newman served as "Playwright in Residence" at the Denver Center Theater Company after training as an actress at the University of Denver. Newman was the author of "Quilters" based on oral histories depicting the life stories of women in Colorado. Newman discusses her work transforming these oral histories into the written play.

CJS and RMJHS collaborated with Denver Center Theatre Company to organize a performance of the play "The Immigrant" as well as post performance activities and an unveiling of a virtual exhibit entitled "Images of Pioneer Jewish Families".
