The Foundation and the Denver Institute later merged. In 2003 the Institute became part of the University of Denver, under a shortened name, the Eleanor Roosevelt Institute (ERI). Do not confuse with the Eleanor Roosevelt Institute (presumably of Hyde Park, N.Y.) founded 1972 as a successor to the Eleanor Roosevelt Memorial Foundation, which initiated and cosponsored projects to celebrate and perpetuate the values of Eleanor Roosevelt, esp. in fields of peace, youth, and social policy, and which merged with the FDR Four Freedoms Foundation to form the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Institute in 1979.
