This folder contains two copies of the by-laws of Congregation Zera Abraham, a document that outlines the rules of membership, guidelines for selecting a rabbi, and a detailed description of the board and subsequent officer positions. The document is divided into six articles; Purposes, Limitations, Membership, Directors, The Rabbinate, and Officers. See folder 2 in this series for several drafts of the by laws.
Congregation Mission Statement and Drafts, 2005
This folder contains the mission statement of Congregation Zera Abraham as well as a draft with notes and revisions and correspondence discussing the mission statement. The mission statement outlines the goals and values of the organization and is approximately one paragraph. Correspondence between board members notes edits to drafts of the statement.
Congregation Newsletters, bulk: 2001-2006
This folder contains month congregation newsletters in which members are updated on programs and events happening within the congregation that month. Each newsletter outlines upcoming events within the congregation and the west side Jewish community, classes and lectures, important administrative information relating to membership and elections, and the schedule for services on a weekly basis. Note that not every newsletter from 1991-2005 are included.
Congregation Savings Accounts and Bank Information, bulk: 2000-2009
This folder contains the bank statements of the Congregation Zera Abraham's savings account. The statements are monthly or twice a month from November of 2008 to December of 2009. Additionally, the folder also contains three customer copies of a signatory addendum and accompanying correspondence, a banking agreement, a corporate authorization resolution, and a commercial/agricultural corporate resolution.
Congregation Services and Utilities, 2005-2009
This folder contains service agreements with the congregation's waste management company from 2006-2008. Each service agreement outlines service and equipment expectations as well as annual cost for said services. Also included is a pole license agreement from Xcel Energy and correspondence regarding the congregation's use of Xcel's services.
