Society of Professional Journalists, Sigma Delta Chi; founded 1909 as Sigma Delta Chi as journalism fraternity; in 1960 designation changed to professional society of journalists and in 1973 name of organization changed to Society of Professional Journalists, Sigma Delta Chi.
