Abstract
Milton Louis Anfenger is standing on a deck in front of a chain-link fence wearing a cap and holding a cigar in his hand. There is sailboat in the water behind him. On the side of the boat: "165 CB. Louis Anfenger of Denver, Colorado. Born in Bavaria, Anfenger came to the United States in the 1850s, moving west in 1870 to seek his fortune. He started as a clerk and became a highly successful businessman in the area of real estate, as well as a member of the Denver Chamber of Commerce, and was later elected to the state legislature in the 1880s.
