Abstract
Sam Berman was born August 9, 1911. His father, Joseph Berman, died when he was two, and shortly thereafter Sam Berman was placed in the Denver Sheltering Home. He spent the longest amount of time at the Denver Sheltering Home of any of its residents. The Home, in consideration of Berman’s long service there, sponsored his education at the University of Denver (DU) as an undergraduate and later as a law student.
