Biography

Borin in Germany in 1845, grew up in New York City. Graduated from Bellevue Medical College. Moved to Colorado in 1868. Was Dr. Elsner's early medical partner until 1873 when he was elected as county physician for a short term. Member of B'nai B'rith. Moved to Saguache, Colorado when he was elected as the first mayor and president of the town copration when the town was incorporated. Finally, settled in Leadville, where he practiced medicine and served as the president of Temple Israel. He died in 1911.
