Biography

Dr. Alberta Iliff Shattuck (1909- ) was born in Denver, Colorado, the third child of William Seward Iliff and Alberta Gearhart Bloom Iliff, and lived in the University Park neighborhood until 1959. She attended the University Park Elementary School and graduated from the University of Denver in 1931 with a degree in chemistry. She received a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado in 1942, and married Dr. Robert C. Shattuck in 1959.
