Fried, Sally, 1897-1994
Biography
Sally Fried was born in Denver, Colorado in 1897 and died in Denver in 1994 at the age of 97. Her parents began Fried's Picture Frame Factory and Sally Fried and her sisters Mary Fried and Bertha Fried Kleiner operated the Fried's Art and Gift Shop in Denver. Sally Fried married Harry Kaufmann, but after they were divorced, Sally Kaufmann changed her family name back to Fried. Estelle and Bobbi Kaufmann, Sally Fried's daughers, also had their last names changed to Fried. (Information from Bobbi Furer during telephone coversation with Thyria Wilson on April 7, 2010.)
