Abstract

A lime green lace caplet. Accompanied a formal length overlay dress (B178.02.0001.00003) of the same material. The lime green lace caplet has two layers of lace in a fan-shaped half circle with a 2 inch collar. Originally belonged to Sara Isaacson Ettenson.

Abstract

A formal length lime green lace overlay dress. The dress is sleeveless and has a high neck. The gown has seven gores (triangular shaped gussets, or additions, of material intended to flare the skirt of the garment). The front has 15 ball-shaped lime green faille covered buttons and 15 green faille loops for attachments. Originally belonged to Sara Isaacson Ettenson.

Abstract

An olive green velvet hat with a base consisting of two circular wire frames that overlap. Each circular wire frame is covered with olive green knit. The base is covered with multiple olive green velvet strips that are tied in the center making them bow shaped. Over the hat structure is a large square of open weave tulle in a matching green that forms a veil over the face. The label reads: ''Hollywood Denver''. Originally belonged to Sara Isaacson Ettenson.

Abstract A woman's pillbox style hat covered with small bird feathers in turquoise, red, white and black. The middle of hat does not have feathers. There is an aqua-blue colored velvet bow in the front. An uneven aqua colored tulle covers the entirety of the hat and it forms a veil across the front. There is a hatpin with a black velvet head in the top of crown and a hatpin with white pearl-like bead head in the front rim. This view shows the front of the hat and the two hatpins. Abstract An eggshell colored silk embroidered bed jacket with a thin inner lining of silk georgette. This view shows the front of the jacket. Kimono style panels are hand-stitched together and form wide sleeves with cuffs. There are purple, pink, and white silk embroidered flowers and green leaves on the sleeves and back. Abstract A tan velveteen formal length dress hand-stitched together. This view shows the front of the dress. There are layers of gold sequins and gold beads in a curved/arched design. The front neck velvet drape has a round velvet covered weight that hangs on the inside of the gown to keep the drape in place. The dress has a plunging back.
