The envelope, found in Max Leipziger's patient record from JCRS, also has a red two cent U.S. postage stamp that has been stamped over in black.

Abstract Letter to "Dr. J. B. Fish, Supt., Sanatorium J. C. R. S., Edgewater, Colo." from Dr. Spivak dated "Feb. 3. 1909" [sic]. Spivak notifies Dr. Fish that JCRS has invited M. Leipziger and A. Richman to enter the Sanatorium. Spivak also asks Dr. Fish for N. Leipziger's address. The letter is not signed but Secretary is typed at the bottom.

LOUIS CONSUMPTIVES' AID SOCIETY...SAINT LOUIS, MO" dated "Dec.1o[10], 1908" [sic]. The letter informally introduces M. Leipziger to Dr. Spivak. The letter asks that Dr. Spivak would help Mr. M. Leipziger with lodging until he is accepted into the JCRS Sanatorium. The letter is signed Julius Guttmann.

Abstract Handwritten letter to "Mr.[Dr.] C. D. Spivak Denver, Colo." from Nathan Leipziger on blue-print letterhead that states, "Gram & Glass Cap Co, Established 1897. Manufacturers of Hats and Caps Cor. 16th and Morgan. St. Louis, MO" the date of the letter is unknown [sic]. N. Leipziger is writing to ask about his brother's death in response to a JCRS telegram he received informing him of M. Leipziger's death. The letter is signed by Nathan Leipziger.

Dr. Spivak informs M. Leipziger that he has been accepted to the JCRS Sanatorium, and that he should present his letter to the Sanatorium to be admitted.
