Abstract Typed letter to "Dr. C. D. Spivak, Denver, Colo" from J. Guttmann in "St. Louis, Mo" dated "Dec. 5, 1908" [sic]. The letter informs Dr. Spivak that the Hebrew Charities Superintendent has contacted J. Guttmann about R. Kasriel's underwear issue, saying to forward Kasriel's bills for underwear and his weekly board fee to the Charities' Superintendent. Guttmann instucted Dr. Spivak to send JCRS patient #972 R. Kasriel to St. Louis from Denver via railroad. Thus, Dr. Spivak has "advanced Mr. Kasriel...$19.85" for railroad fare, and "Mr. Julius Guttman [Guttmann] istructed me...to send my bill to you for collection" [sic]. Abstract Typed letter to "Dr. J. B. Fish, Supt., Sanatorium J. C. R. S., Edgewater, Colo" from Dr. Spivak dated "Jan. 25. 1909" [sic]. The letter reads, "This is to inform you that we have today notified Mr. Rubin Kasseriel [Kasriel] to enter the Sanatorium" [sic]. The letter is not signed but Secretary is typed at the bottom.

Abstract Handwritten letter to "Dr C.D. Spivak [JCRS] Denver" from J. Guttmann on letterhead that states, "THE ST. LOUIS CONSUMPTIVES' AID SOCIETY...SAINT LOUIS, MO" dated "July 7th 1910" [sic]. The letter informs Dr. Spivak of the deterioration of R. Kasriel's health since leaving JCRS, and asks whether Kasriel would be cleared to re-apply to enter JCRS. J. Guttmann believes that the JCRS is R. Kasriel's "only refuge" and that "charities are willing to send him, + keep him up until admitted" into JCRS...
