Letter from Mrs. M. Amter to C.D. Spivak informing him that she has received $16.50 from Mr. Ed Grimes for funeral expenses of David Rubin.
Handwritten letter from N.P. Levin to C.D. Spivak regarding the death of David Rubin. The letter states that Rubin passed away at 8:00am on March 27, 1910. Levin lists the belongings found on him at the time of his death including $2.05 in cash and a money order for $10. The letter is signed "Nathan P. Levin" on the bottom.
Handwritten letter from S. Schwartzberg to C.D. Spivak letting Spivak know that David Rubin left for Denver on March 15th, 1910. He hopes that Rubin will return home strong and healthy after his time at JCRS. He signs the letter "Sam Schwartzberg" at the bottom.
Handwritten letter from S.S. Goerson to C.D. Spivak letting him know that David Rubin was examined by Dr. Friedman at his house. He tells Spivak the Dr. Friedman says Rubin is in very bad condition and has enclosed a document related to his examination.
Physician note on prescription paper from Dr. H. Frumson. On the paper he certifies that David Rubin is suffering from tuberculosis and recommends sending Rubin to Denver, Colorado.
Receipt for the burial of David Rubin at Rose Hill Cemetery. The receipt is made out to JCRS. The receipt notes Rubin's block number, as well as the expenses for the burial service. The services included a hearse, grave, digging, coffin, Bal Misaskim, and the Tachrichem which came to a total of $31.50.
Receipt from the Ladies Shroud Society for a total of $16.50. The money comes from Ed Grimes and is meant to cover funeral expenses from David Rubin.
Telegram from C.D. Spivak to Dina Rubin, wife of David Rubin, informing her that her husband passed away. He asks her to wire burial instructions right away.
