Biography

Max Appel was born in Denver, Colorado, in 1932. His father William Appel was born in Poland and died in Denver on August 13, 1971 at the age of 70. William Appel came to Denver in 1922 and became a cattle peddler. He bought a few cows and "filled them with water" so he could get a higher price for them. His wife Gladys was born in the Ukraine and died in Denver September 11 1987 at the age of 82. Max Appel married Elaine Monderer from Pueblo, Colorado in 1958.
