Biography
Becamed involved in his father's oil business after graduating from NYU in 1947. The Davis Oil Company drilled thousands of wells in unexplored areas in search in oil and natural gas. Owned 20th Century Fox from 1981 to 1985 before selling to Rupert Murdoch.
