Bluestein, Richard N., 1914-1995
Biography
Richard Bluestone was the Chief Financial Officer and President at National Jewish Hospital from 1962 until he retired in 1982. He was a lawyer in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a national coordinator of the Anti-Defamation League during WWII. During his tenue as CEO, there was tremendous growth and development NJH and a movement from the treatment of tuberculosis to the treatment and research of asthma. He oversaw the merger of National Asthma Center and National Jewish Hospital to form the National Jewish Hospital and Research Center/National Asthma Center.
