Biography

Jordon Perlmutter was born in 1931 to immigrant parents and died in Denver on December 7, 2015. He was a Denver builder, real estate developer, and property manager. In 1951, he founded Perl-Mack Enterprises with his cousin Sam Primack. Perl Mack introduced the concept of planned communities in Denver in Northglenn, Southglenn and Montbello. In the 1983 Perl-Mack was dissolved and Jordon and his eldest son Jay founded Perlmutter and Company. Jordon Perlmutter was a trustee of the University of Denver for 15 years. He married Essie Lou Goldberg in 1953. Both Jordon and Essie grew up on Denver's west side and both served on many boards of directors.

Abstract Collection contains (16) digitized photographs of the Perlmutter and Bernstein family. Abe Perlmutter was born in Russia in 1893 and died in Denver on January 15, 1985. He came to the United States on his own when he was 15. At age 19 he became a journeyman mason in New York and saved enough money to bring his family to New York. He moved to Denver in 1911 and married Dora Turner in 1913. They had three daughters, Ann Radovsky, Dubby Bernstein, Ruth Morrison, and one son, Jordon Perlmutter....
