Biography

Marvin Naiman was a leading real estate broker in Denver. He was born on Denver's West Side sometime around 1930, and graduated from North High School. He served in Germany during the Korean War. Upon returning, he married Marcia Gold, started a family, and began to build his career. He obtained a real estate license and founded the Sherman Agency, a real estate investment consulting and management firm, in 1964. He was a member of the Society of Exchange Counselors, the Denver Board of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. He was a nationally recognized speaker and teacher who received many awards during his career. Naiman moved to Boulder in the early 1990s and became involved with Naropa University, where he became a student and trustee. Marvin died on March 28, 2005 in Los Angeles after complications from a heart transplant. He is buried in Rose Cemetery. He was survived by his wife Margery Goldman, brother Bernie Naiman, sisters Cynthia Chapman and Pam Stearman, children Laurie Abelman, Hal Naiman, and Jill Snyder, and seven grandchildren.
