Grandson of Edward Bruce Bowles. Mother was Maria Bowles Van Scoy Glen was a member of the Home Rule Charter Convention in 1957. In 1946 Glen VanScoy was named postmaster of Westminster. He & wife were the only employees at that time; with a population of 700 they managed the office and they met the train twice a day to deliver & pickup mail. Talks of the postoffice moving, more clerks, house to house delivery began, raising the postoffice to second class then first class.

March 13th, 1979 Carl Jacobson interviewing Mrs. Eunice Gnos, widow of Edward, at the city Library on 76th Ave. who was active in Westminster History 1920?s ? 1930?s Looking at abstract [lots 1-4 block 111 owned by the Gnos?s now known as 8198 King Street purchased from Charles E. Horne who was the Dean of Westminster University prior to that time. Previously lived at approximately 88th & Irving Street. Ed worked at the Begole Orchards.
