Biography

Barbara A. Bloom was born in Denver, Colorado in 1941 to Sam and Lillian Gershkovitz Bloom. Her paternal grandparents were Pizer and Ida Strait Bloom. Barbara's grandparents and father ran the Downings Coal and Feed store that expanded to become Colorado's largest appliance store during the 1960s. Barbara Bloom married Bob Rossman, her second husband, in 2014. Barbara A. Bloom published her memoir "Ephemeral Blooms: A Memoir with Roots in Colorado" in 2018.
