Biography

Rabbi Yekusiel Yehudah Greenwald was born in Sighet, Hungary (now Romania). He was a journalist for several newspapers in Sighet. The Rabbi, his wife, and two sons moved to New York in 1924. In 1925, the family moved to Columbus, Ohio where the Yekusiel Greenwald became the Rabbi of Beth Jacob Synagogue. His son Jack Greenwald was born in Columbus in 1928 and moved to Denver for his health in 1946.
