Hattie Schayer Friedenthal, 1922, 1998
Hattie Schayer Friedenthal (1868-1922) was born in New York City and moved to Denver with her parents when she was four years old. Hattie graduated from East Denver High School in 1884, and married Sigmund Friedenthal in 1891. She was deeply involved in the Denver Jewish community, acting as organizer and first vice-president of the Jewish Sheltering Home, Editor of the Denver Jewish News, and president of the Hebrew Benevolent Society. Hattie was buried at Fairmount Cemetery.
