Biography

Rosalind Farnam Dudden was instrumental in bringing use of the internet to medical librarians in Colorado. She came to Colorado in 1966 and taught skiing in Aspen, Colorado for three years. She received her Master of Library Science degree from the University of Denver in 1970 and began as library director at the Mercy Medical Center, a Catholic general hospital, in 1971. She then became library director at National Jewish Health in 1986 and worked there until she retired in 2011. She is recognized for leading collaborative efforts with medical librarians in Colorado and in the Medical Library Association, led the compilation of the CCML union list of serials, and for adopting and promoting the use of technology. Rosalind Dudden created the first website for National Jewish Health in 1995 and promoted the early use of emails. She authored over 30 publications and received many awards for her work and scholarship.

Abstract

Roz Farnam Dudden is an University of Denver alumna (MLIS, 1970). She was a student at DU in the spring of 1970 when Woodstock West occurred. The collection consists of contact sheets and negatives of pictures she took during the event.
