Biography

Dag Hammarskjöld was Secretary General of the United Nations from 1953 until he died in a plane crash in 1961. Khrushchev wanted to get Hammarskjold out ot the position of Secretary General and suggested that the U.N. be run by a three-man board representing Western, Communist and Neutralist groups.
