Biography

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Richard Douglas "Dick" Lamm studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of California. He has been on the faculty of the University of Denver since 1969 and is currently co-director of the Institute for Public Policy Studies there. He was Governor of Colorado from 1975 to 1987. He has written numerous books, especially on health care and politics.
