Abstract A black velvet half- or headband-hat with a black veil draped from the middle of hte front of the frame. The wire and cardboard frame is covered with black velvet that has been glued and stapled on over a black nylon lining, and is shaped like an off-center bow, with a knot section in the middle, a large loop on the right with a tail poking through the loop, and a single, large, slightly pointed piece on the left. The frame is cruved to fit around the front of the head. The veil falls past...

Blue Tulle Hat with Velvet Bow, circa 1960

Abstract

A round, midnight blue classic whimsy hat, made completely of heavy blue netting. A flat blue velvet 'X' bow is sewn to the crown of the hat with small velvet leaves and dots scattered across the rest of the hat, accented with blue square wooden beads. No label. The hat is 34 cm in diameter while the bow is 13 cm x 14 cm.
