Biography

Phillip and Anna Quiatowsky farmed at Cotopaxi, Colorado until the colony disbanded in 1882. Sons Ira and Simon became lawyers. Ira and his son Gerald were partners in a law firm. When clients could not pay legal fees in cash, they paid in mineral rights. Gerald expanded the business after his father died and is now one of the largest owners of mineral rights in the state of Colorado. His daughter Melinda became CEO of the Quiet Companies.
