Mrs. Mary Dean Reed (Mrs. Verner Zevola Reed) pledges $100,000 for the construction of a liberal arts building in 1927, to be named Margery Reed Mayo Hall, for their daughter Margery, who had graduated from DU and married Professor Paul Mayo.

Abstract

Pencil drawing on paper of the Mary Reed Library building of the University of Denver campus in 1948; mounted to mat board. The drawing is of the Southeast entrance to the building showing wooden revolving doors, two stories of elaborate Collegiate Gothic Architecture and a woman sitting reading a book by the entrance. The door is colored with brown pencil and the brick is red oil crayon or pencil. The white lines of the brick have been painted on.
