Abstract Maurice Rose was born in 1899 in Middletown, CT to Rabbi Samuel and Katy Rose. The family moved to Denver, Colorado in 1902 when Maurice was three. After graduation from highschool, Maurice Rose enlisted in the United States army when he was 15 and fought under General Pershing. He stayed in the army and attended various military schools.
